Ubuntu B-Sides

For anyone interested in the applications that didn’t quite make the cut for the Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala Live CD, there is Ubuntu B-Sides. It’s a project that lets you easily add a repository and install a number of apps.  No apps bundled with the release are replaced, and there isn’t any redundancy.

  1. It’s nice, but I wish they were’t all bundled into one package. I don’t want them all. So I just used the list to get ideas for what I wanted to install individually. I also added the getdeb repository, but it seems to me that the debs compiled on that site often have flaws in them that create bugs, cause them to crash or just not work at all.
